Lantana

Lanny or Lulu as we call her is a smaller compact 15.3H Oldenburg mare by L’Andiamo OLD (Lord Liberty) and out of the Hanoverian mare Wildrose by Watzmann (Hann). She grew up at Huntington Farm in VT and began her XC training. Her career up until recently has included an intermittent eventing background thru Beginner/Novice and included competing at the World Equestrian Center in Ohio.

Lulu has great ground manners/handling, is good for farrier, baths, clipping etc and has the sweetest petite girly girl face that is easy on the eyes. She is sensitive to a lot of things and really needs to connect with her person. She is sensitive to saddle fit, and has trouble with traditional bit/contact and Ive recently been working her in a Bosal and she seems to really enjoy it. She needs a fearless human to call her own who can gently guide her in her job.

After evaluating and working with Lulu these last few months I backed off from jumping and dressage because we were dealing with some separation anxiety issues also and needed to go back to work on the basics, fill in some holes, support her with some coping skills etc. I think she could do some jumping again, but right now she seems very content to be the cutest little cowgirl there ever was! I feel like we are getting over the hump of some of her “things” and I have to admit I am really enjoying her now even more than before. She truly latches on to her person (albeit after making me work for it lol) but I am smitten with her and need to find her forever human to love on this special mare. She also might be a great broodmare candidate with full reg. papers her foals could be registered Hann, or OLD.

She is NOT for the average rider and needs someone very specific. But once relationship is established she is a cool cat! Her price reflects all of the above. $15,000 Special considerations to the right home.
