Don Von

Don Von is a 2020 Oldenburg x Tb gelding sired by a Tapit grandson by a Deniro x Lute’Ce Mare. Currently standing 15.3hh, he is expected to mature around 17hh. He is the sweetest boy to have around! He is quiet, easy, gentle and doesn’t get excited by much at all. If you are an amateur looking to buy, start and finish out your next star, we could not recommend Don Von highly enough. He’s a pleasure and while no young horse is perfect, he’s about as perfect as they get. 

Not only does Don Von have a winning personality, but he has 3 very nice gaits as well. He has a natural extended trot, and carries himself softly across the ground. His first experience through the jump chute really knocked our socks off! He has a proper bascule and nice sharp knees. We think this nice horse would really bring home the ribbons in the hunter rings. 

Don Von has been under saddle for about 60 days and during that time was confidently going walk, trot and canter. He also spent a weekend or two out trail riding/being ponied and camping! He is now turned back out allowing him to grow and develop – as we believe youngsters should! He has also been conditioned to clippers, loads on and off the trailer, stands tied, is good for his mane to be pulled, great for baths, good for his feet being picked up and worked on, etc.
