- Simon has been a project for my 7 year old daughter and he is a lovely, kind pony! He has super feet and is a fancy, sound mover with a bit of knee action. Gorgeous dapples and a striking color! He stands well to be tied, and loads in the trailer by my daughter. She can tack, groom, and pick out his feet on her own. We are still working with sponging and hosing (dances a bit) but he loves grooming and attention. We have had a saddle and harness on him, and he is super for leadline. We have not hitched him. He is still getting used to the bit but is pretty unflappable about lunging and is not spooky.
He loves to jump in-hand and actually looks to them for some fun!
He is not registered – we estimate his age around 5 (from dentist).
Up to date on shots, deworming. Farrier every 5 weeks and good strong feet with no history or evidence of founder. Can go out with large horses or small and holds his own. Can go on grass but we use a muzzle so he doesn’t get too chubby! Currently out most of the time but comes into a stall for a few hours 2x a day for vitamins and a stall nap. Stalls well but can be anxious if no other horses are in sight.
We would love to see him go to a home that will show him in hand or ride/drive him. He is too nice of a horse and too nice of a mover to be a baby sitter or companion-only!
Available to be seen in Columbia City, IN which is about 30 min west of Fort Wayne, IN. Can work with long distance haulers as needed, or transport in our large 2+1 box stall up to 300 miles, 1.50 per loaded mile.
Photos of our farm can be seen at telosfarm.com. We have many photos of him that we can email you. He comes with a lovely new custom leather halter with his name plate and a nearly new Horsesare Amigo rain sheet and hood for the cold rainy/snowy days.
For sale because he was a project for my daughter and she has a 12.2 step up hackney pony she is riding now.
